THE PANDEMIC HIT OUR FAMILY HARD! MY DAD, MYRON ROGERS PASSED AWAY ON AUGUST 5TH, 2020 AND 3 MONTHS LATER, MY MOM, JORGINE ROGERS PASSED ON NOVEMBER 4, 2020. I MISS THEM DEARLY AND AM INCLUDING A PAGE FOR THEM SO THEY CAN ALWAYS BE SORT OF NEAR.

lori africa mom.mp4In 1988 I was student teaching at the International School of Kenya, Nairobi. My aunt Bev and her friend, Mickey were going to meet me at the end of the term to go on a 2 week safari! Well...my aunt couldn't come, so...my mom surprised me and came to Nairobi instead of aunt Bev! SO...I went on safari with my mom when I was 27 years old! Maddie and I made the journey to Africa in May, 2022, and we saw many of the same sights that my mom and I had way back in 1988. Maddie was just one year older than I was when I went on safari with my mom! Now a little piece of my mom will live forever in Masai Mara, Kenya, Africa.
